Brian Walters

My name is Brian Walters,

I am a Connecticut based self taught artist. My technical background is welding and metalworking. In 2003 I discovered sculpture and have been creating ever since. The work that I make is varied ranging from very precise origami pieces to found object assemblages made from tossed objects I source through numerous places locally. I am incredibly driven to always keep pushing my artistic pursuits to the next level and hone my skills every time I’m in the shop (studio)

It hasn’t been an easy ride due to being self taught or someone who is proud to be an American, but it’s who I am. I guess that it’s this unapologetic attitude that allows me the freedoms to create art that jives with my soul and resonates with those who are drawn to my creations.

Over the past 20 years I have been a non stop machine that makes beautiful pieces from detritus. It’s a passion that persists. During this time I have shown at many highly respected venues in the northeast and to a lesser extent nationally.
