Janel Houton

Janel Houton is an award winning artist from Boston who paints and draws nature, landscape and spiritual themes using acrylics, and other wet and dry media. In the natural world she finds joy, inspiration and consolation, themes that speaks beyond language and culture. Her interest in American History, Art History, Japan, as well as Buddhism and her Zen practice provide themes and subject matter in her art. She is a member of the National Association of Women Artists in New York, and the local chapter in Massachusetts.
