Navin Sarma

I was born and raised in the Washington D.C. area. My experiences traveling the world in my early 20s prompted me to begin landscape photography. Since then, I have been producing large fine art works of unique, dramatic, and dreamy landscape photographs from Washington, D.C. and around the globe and teaching photography to artists at all levels.

My main motivation to create images is an appreciation of the beauty, strength, and vastness of our natural environment. My images attempt to coax the viewer to feel awe and wonder about how shapes, colors, and contrasts can converge, artfully, into a scene. I strive for the same dramatic effect from his collection of images from Washington, D.C., concentrating on the interaction between the city and nature around it.

Each of my images is created for large format, fine art presentation. I meticulously craft and refine my final work products to be as perfect as the scenes I photograph. The strong, introspective mood and attention to detail in my images differentiates them from work from other artists
