Redeat Wondemu, aka Red Won is an Eritrean born Ethiopian-American photographer, currently in D.C.

Red’s photographs possess a remarkable ability to encapsulate the nuanced emotions of her subjects, while the meticulous hand-printing process imbues them with an artistic quality reminiscent of paintings.

Through the use of mediums such as gelatin silver, platinum palladium, and cyanotype, Red elevates her photography to a level where it transcends mere imagery and becomes a mesmerizing form of visual storytelling.
