Vivien Abrams Collens

Vivien Abrams Collens is a lifelong professional artist first known for her work in painting installations in the 70s and 80s (as Vivien Abrams) which are in corporate and museum collections throughout the USA.
In 2015 “City Blocks,” her first freestanding sculptures , were shown with her “Urban Studies” paintings at Gensler’s Rockefeller Center gallery .Since then she has focused on sculpture, and with support from Salem Artworks and Sculpture for New Orleans, has installed 7 large scale public sculptures since summer 2017.
Her ongoing interest in the creative process lends expressive energy to her fascination with the structural playfulness of modern architecture .
Collens' sculptures have been exhibited in New York in New York City, Katonah, Saratoga Springs, Glens Falls, Salem, Newburgh and Beacon, and as well as in New Orleans and North Bennington, VT.
