Alisa Banks

Alisa Banks is a visual artist who creates sculptural books, textile collage, and mixed-media work to address identity politics; she frequently incorporates fibers and found materials that reference traditional craft techniques. Alisa received her BS from Oklahoma State University and her MFA from Texas Woman’s University. She resides in Dallas, TX.

Please note, artists who have signed up to be included in the registry are not yet participating Art in Embassies artists in an exhibition. The registry acts as a forum for exposure to our internal curators, for possible inclusion in a show. A registry artist will not have an artist card in the main Art in Embassies website section (art.state.gov/artists) until they are included in an exhibition, nor are they searchable in the main search function of the website (art.state.gov).
