I have been involved in art as a medium of communication since my graduation from the University of Arizona. My interest is humanistic, and my canvas and Art events have always aimed to portray human beings with dignity and pride.
As a Hispanic Lesbian artist living and working in Tucson Arizona I have absorbed the exuberant light that surrounds us and have tried to honor my ancestry through my work. In my Hispanic culture color has always been used as a language, a language that is expressive and emotive. The color that I use in my work is also influenced by the light that surrounds us and by my understanding of what makes us human. My style of painting (modernistic hard-edge painting) depicts the universality that unites us as human beings.
