Anne Bae was born in Ithaca, New York. She was always drawn to a variety of creative expressions in the arts and sciences, leading her to choose the field of design to further her explorations of form, functionality and ergonomics, in addition to materials and aesthetics. She graduated with a BFA from Parsons School of Design.

Because of Bae's myriad interests, her research and projects inspired her travels to various parts of the world that challenged and developed her humanity in many ways—philosophically, spiritually and conceptually. This metamorphosis continues, being manifest through her expanding repertoire of creativity, which echoes themes in allegory, metaphor and symbolism. Currently, she resides in New York
