Candice Russell works in representational figurative and architectural sculpture, displaying a dedication to craftsmanship and furthering academic artistic tradition. She attended the University of North Texas in 2007 and thereafter began an apprenticeship working hands on with Florentine educated figurative sculptor George Sellers, learning classical technique, praxis, and humanism as an artist. She continued her studies and career in NYC 2009 at the Art Students League and Grand Central Atelier. Her sculpting skills were employed in the studios of Barry X Ball and Foster Reeve & Associates. She joined the Institute of Classical Architecture and Art's Plinth group in 2017 in order to shape the education of classical art and design. Candice's work can be seen at Medialia Gallery in NYC, and has exhibited with The Classical American Homes Preservation Trust as an emerging artist in the classical tradition. Being an avid reader and having a keen eye for art history gives her work levity and ease of confident craftsmanship.
