Darryl Alexander Hines is an artist, author and an attorney. He is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. After a long hiatus he has recently returned to his passion, the creative arts. While practicing law has been his vocation he feels that true expression is through visual communication.

Darryl attended the Cleveland Institute of Art, The Cooper School of Art and participated in the Cleveland Museum of Art’s Program for Gifted Students all while maintaining his regular curriculum as a high school college prep student.. He was the recipient of the Martha Holden Jennings Foundation’s Scholarship and studied at the Chautauqua Institute in Chautauqua, New York as part of his high school studies. He also won a gold key in the National Scholastic Art Competition and had his work displayed in New York City.

Darryl has exhibited his work in art galleries, schools and art festivals. He currently represented by The Lona Gallery in Lawrenceville, Georgia and the Peter Street Gallery in Atlanta’s Castleberry District. Darryl’s work was select among more than 500 submissions for the Light of the Ancestors Exhibition in Washington, DC which included noted artists Faith Ringgold and Paul Goodnight.
