Born in the republic of guinea, i hold a bachelor degree in art, from St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. In addition to my various travels across Africa, my education in the United States and the United Kingdom has given me a broad knowledge and understanding of western art and cultures.
As an artist, i create works that are an appropriation of western culture associated with a tribal twist and afrocentric imagery, while maintaining a simple, modern/sophisticated aesthetic. In doing so i aim to stimulate the mind, challenge thinking and push the boundaries of possibilities in viewing angles, shapes and forms. My mediums of choice are printmaking, photography, drawing and sculpture.
