Hilary Galián was born and raised in Portland, Oregon and currently resides in Oakland, California. Nominated for the Joan Mitchell Painters and Sculptors Grant, she received her BA with honors from Portland State University and her MFA from Mills College. She has exhibited in Portland, Oregon and throughout the Bay Area.
