Janet Mathias is a Washington, D.C. native who lives and works in Baltimore, MD. Her second home is New Mexico, where she also once lived and now travels to regularly. She earned a B.F.A. from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in 1989, and an M.A. in Art Therapy from The George Washington University in 1995. She spent a semester abroad at Parson’s School of Design in Paris, France in 1987. Mathias exhibits her work in juried, regional solo and group exhibitions. Mathias works in oils, mixed media, collage and printmaking.
