Lisa Dawn Gold is a American Contemporary Artist. Since the 1980s, Gold has been a pioneering artist who places drawing as the core of her work. Early recognition came from her drawing machines first exhibited at The Drawing Center in New York City. She is best known for pioneering the solid graphite sculpture and reversible panel paintings. More recently she has been utilizing 3D technology to create sculptures bringing drawing into the 3rd dimension. She is the recipient of grants from the Ford Foundation, National Endowment For the Arts, the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, Redline and the Gottlieb Foundation. Her artwork can be found in many prominent collections.
