Luke Wynne began his photographic career in NYC managing Frederic Ohringer’s photographic studio and making the prints for the book, A Portrait of the Theater (Crown Publishing – 1979). Mr. Wynne moved to Los Angeles where he worked on over 20 feature films as a still photographer. During his time in Los Angeles, Wynne also photographed editorial and portrait assignments for magazines in the USA and Europe. His portraits of Hollywood movie actors include Richard Gere, Whoopi Goldberg, George Clooney and Julia Roberts, and were syndicated worldwide by the Gamma Liaison Agency from 1985 to 1999.

In 1999 Wynne moved to Italy where he taught Master Classes in portraiture, while exhibiting his photographs extensively in the Veneto region of Italy.
Mr. Wynne received a National Endowment for the Arts award for his site installation, everyday, when he returned to the United States in 2011. In 2015, Wynne’s exhibition and book, Artists in Residence, debuted at the Banana Factory’s Crayola Gallery in Bethlehem, PA. Mr. Wynne was asked by the Allentown Art Museum to guest curate and participate in the Museum’s exhibition and book, Allentown X 7: Photographic Explorations in 2016.
Mr. Wynne is a founding member of the photographic cooperative Frame 37. He, and members of Frame 37, are moderators for a series of conversations about photography at the Allentown Art Museum from 2017 to the present.

Mr. Wynne is currently a Professor of Digital Photography at Moravian College Bethlehem, PA.
