Referencing forms in our physical landscape, my structures speak about the geographies of our interior world; I create concrete forms to address abstract ideas, tangible shapes that explore the spiritual realm. Connecting the external to the internal, my work maps the transformations that happen as we move through our lives: the wonder that we feel as we notice the intricate pattern of petals on a flower, the calm that comes from listening to the rhythm of the waves hitting the sand, or way we can feel embraced by the immensity of the universe as we look up at that stars.

I’m interested in how math and science work inside and around us, how fractals, tessellations, and crystalline forms relate to our human scale life and also, zooming out, how they work in the universe and in our psyche at a grand scale. Though created out of concrete materials, I think of my mediums as the intangible elements of light, color, shadow, form, and transformation.
