Joan Huiner Ranzini received her Bachelor of Arts degree with High Honors from the College of William and Mary, where her major was Fine Arts with an emphasis on architecture. She received her Master’s degree in Architectural History from the University of Virginia, and did coursework there in the Architectural Design program. For several years she worked as an architectural designer and occasional architectural history advisor. Ms. Ranzini has studied at the Beverley Street Studio School in Staunton, Virginia and Mary Baldwin College. She has taught at the Governor’s School for the Arts and the Beverley Street Studio School, where she worked as the Academic Program Coordinator from 2012-2017. She maintains an active solo and juried exhibit schedule. Ms. Ranzini works in a variety of media and styles and welcomes commissions. You can see her artwork exhibited at Co-Art Gallery in Staunton, Virginia.
