Patricia Daher is a New York based American Lebanese multidisciplinary artist, poet, and environmental activist. Daher was born in New York, and raised between Beirut and New York. Daher commenced her career as an aspiring Mathematician who contributed to the academic success of many students, to then pursue a different path in Studio Art. Daher later took Andy Warhol’s advice “Business Art is the step that comes after Art” , and earned an M.A. in Art Market Studies from the Fashion Institute of Technology. Daher has lived in Beirut for ten years, experienced war, and choses to create colorful worlds for peace. She embraces the freedom and responsibility of being an artist. Living in a diverse city, New York, Daher became fascinated with world cultures, ancient world religions, and alternative healing methods. Her awareness as a global citizen contributed to advocating for conserving the environment. As a private consultant to a member of the United Nations, she composed systematic solutions that tackle major environmental concerns along the Mediterranean. Daher's work has been exhibited at various galleries in New York, of which NeueHouse and Biggercode Gallery. She is the recipient of the Wave Scholarship, and the Catalyst scholarship award. Her work has been published in Hyperallergic, and a few books such as Drawing with Dynamic Perspective by Meryl Rosner.
