I am Riccardo Mayr Italian painter and Architect currently living in Geneva Switzerland.
Since the nineties, I did start painting developing a personal technique, which combines natural substances such as ash, charcoal, chalk, mixed up with oil paint on canvas.
The dichotomy that I try to express in my paintings is centered somewhere between the frailty of human being his isolation and the persistence of nature phenomena against the violence that unfortunately characterizes our times.
My aim is to visualize and crystalized on the surface of my art pieces a sense of mystery, awe and accumulation of time through the use of my trademark materials such as dust, ash glass and charcoal mixed with oil paint.
