Reynolds is an Assistant Professor of painting and drawing at Santa Clara University.
He received his MFA at University of California, Berkeley and a BFA from University of California, Santa Cruz. Sakata Garo in Sacramento.

Reynolds recent work explores the intersection between past and present. By integrating historical photographs into a daily record of a site specific location, the image becomes a resurrection of people and place seen through the transparency of the immediate. A painting evolves over time through a series of layers that both merge with and cover up previous observations. This process acts as a documentary of space and time through the medium of paint, but ultimately creates a contained surface upon which to reflect and inquire into the nature of our shared existence.
