Paula Overbay was born in Longview WA and resides in Brooklyn NY>
She earned her BFA from the Pacific NW College of Art, Portland OR in 1975
and an MFA from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh PA in l980.
She has shown in museums and galleries nationally an internationally. Selected
exhibitions are the Portland Art Museum, Tacoma Art Museum, Portland State university, Pullman Deffenbaugh Gallery, Portland OR; Sherry Frumkin Gallery, LA; University of Pittsburgh, Boston Museum, The University of Delaware and the Smithsonian World Print III Tour.
More recently her work has been at the Muriel Guepin Gallery, New York, NY; Kentler International Paper Center, Brooklyn, NY; Schema Projects, Paris FR; Drawing Rooms, Jersey City NJ; the NY Institute of Technology, New York, NY; The Chautauqua Institute, Chautauqua, NY.
She has had two Artists Residents at the MacDowell Colony, Peterborough NH; three residencies at the Ragdale Foundation, Lake Forest IL over the years and lately at the Saltonstall Foundation for NY Artists in Ithaca NY.
She is represented by the Muriel Guepin Gallery in New York, NY.
