Growing up in a small farm town 30 miles North of Nashville, TN there wasn't any art to look at. I watched my older brother draw Spiderman and comic book characters at age 3 - thinking this was magic!

To create - to escape.

My interest in art led me to obtain my BA at Western KY University and East TN State University with my MFA. I moved to Nashville from the mountains to teach for a while - only to return a few years later to the beautiful landscape of Kingsport, TN. I reside there with my wife Jamie - daughter Olivia and son Adam. Art has and always will be a part of my life and is still as magical as it was to me over 30 years ago.
