Vincent Forte

Education:
I have over 25 years experience creating fine art oil paintings. I learned about art from my father who was an artist and sculptor. I also received instruction in the atelier of Louis Pelky a fine art oil painter. I earned college degrees in electric power engineering and have worked over 30 years in the electric utility industry.

Style and Subject:
My painting style can be characterized as realistic. My subject matter includes landscape, seascape, still life, interiors, and religious themes. I have also painted the Space Shuttle and marine paintings including one of World War Two era destroyer escort DE-766 Slater.

Distinctions:
One of my paintings is owned by and displayed in Saint Madeleine Sophie Roman Catholic church in Guilderland, NY. I have also completed, as an artisan, a bronze bust sculpted by my father which is owned by the City of Albany, NY and permanently displayed in a city park as well as a bronze of Erastus Corning 2nd, Mayor of Albany from 1942 to 1983.
