Cory Oberndorfer

Cory Oberndorfer is an artist fixated on nostalgia, American popular culture, and the joy of life's simple pleasures. His work has been exhibited nationally, including Grand Central Art Center in Santa Ana, CA, Redux Contemporary Art Center and 4th Wall in Charleston, SC, Kayo Gallery in Salt Lake City, UT, Gettysburg College in Gettysburg, PA, Arlington Arts Center in Arlington, VA, and Flashpoint Gallery, G Fine Art, and the Katzen Arts Center in Washington, D.C. He has completed residencies in Charleston, SC, Johnson, VT, and Ålvik, Norway. He has received multiple Artist Fellowships and project grants from the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities and Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County. Cory currently teaches as an adjunct instructor at the George Washington University. He received his BFA from Weber State University and MFA from American University.
