David Douglas

As an award winning photographer, I have been taking photographs since 1967. With my camera, I circumnavigated the world in 1971, lived in Ethiopia where I served as a Peace Corps Volunteer. Since moving to New Mexico from New York in 1988, I have dedicated myself to capturing New Mexico’s spirit and unmatched beauty.

With a passion for telling the story of New Mexico in black and white photography, my emotional and dramatic photographs evoke a thought-provoking, soulful response. My work re-imagines the stunning beauty of New Mexico, revealing its essence. I constantly explore beautiful landscapes, villages and towns, art, culture, history and people through my heart and lens.

In addition to awards and publication, my photographs are included in private collections in New Mexico, Colorado, California, New York, Texas, Washington DC, Virginia, Pennsylvania and The Netherlands.
