Delaire Rowe

Delaire Rowe is an artist living and working in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Her artwork has been exhibited throughout the state, nationally and internationally for the past 30 years. Her most recent work is focused on mixed media and two-dimensional design. She incorporates images and pieces of past artworks into new compositions, blending colors and shapes while using a variety of applications. One of the objectives of her most recent artwork has been to explore various arrangements in layers of color, line, tone, and texture. Elements of realism remain in some designs as well as allusions to music and other forms of creative composition.

Delaire earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Indiana University and a Master of Fine Arts from Brooklyn College, City University of New York. She has worked as an Artist-in-Residence for the Kentucky Arts Council and taught art courses in the Department of Art at Western Kentucky University. Delaire is the current Executive Director of VSA Kentucky a statewide arts and disability organization.
