Dwight Myers

I started exploring my creative side about 6 years ago. Mostly playing with color and movement. At the time it was very therapeutic and cathartic. Over time I was introduced to “acrylic pouring” or “fluid art”. At first I was exploring all the techniques, however soon learned that I wanted to be different, more creative and more artistic. I created my own style and continue to grow. Initially I was focused more on monochromatic pours, however over the past 6 months or so, I’ve been having fun with color. The paintings I create are an abstraction of movement. If you watch my YouTube videos you can see how this type of art is very organic and literally starts as “nothing”, as I pour colors then cover it with black. After tilting it starts to transform and the color comes through providing an exciting visual display! I continue to use this method, primarily on larger canvases and continue to grow and explore this process!
