Dr. Eleanor Ruth Fisher, PsyD, is a lifelong New Englander with a great love for the ocean, the beach, the changing of the seasons, and all the colors of the rainbow! She was in private practice for over 40 years as a licensed therapist but began her career as an artist following brain surgery in 1991. Self taught, she began in oils, moved to acrylics, and in 2013 added glass shards and other materials to her artwork. Today her works begin as a full acrylic painting on canvas, over which is laid cut and carved glass shards, sea shells, stone, sticks, and bits of jewelry as appropriate to create one-of-a-kind masterpieces of color, light, and pure enjoyment.
