Haoyun Erin Zhao

Haoyun Erin Zhao is a multidisciplinary artist based in San Francisco, California who works in the art forms of painting, printmaking, mural, and installation. Interactions of color, shape, and material play a pivotal role in Zhao's work that they meditate on memory, time, and the ever-changing nature of life. In the process of composing a rhythmic composition, She's in a continuous pursuit to balance control, chance, and intuition. She utilizes transparent materials to create complex layers while achieving traceability and a sense of light and spacial wonder.

Zhao's work has been published in various magazines and exhibited in museums, galleries, and art fairs at venues such as de Young Museum, Art Santa Fe Contemporary Art Fair, International Print Center New York, Galerie Kuchling Berlin, Sanchez Art Center, Glass Rice Gallery, The Compound Gallery Oakland and etc. Her work is in the collections of Guizhou Minzu (Nationalities) University in China, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, Kala Art Institute in Berkeley, Zuckerman Museum of Art in Kennesaw and etc.
