Kanak Bhasin

I am a New Jersey artist. I have loved art ever since I was a young child. I earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Art/Art Education at Kean University in New Jersey. For many years my full time job as an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher and rasising children didn't leave me much time to paint. When my daughter was in college, she asked me to create some paintings for her dorm room. I created a couple of paintings for her, and couldn't stop painting after that. Most of my paintings are created with acrylic paints on canvas, I also truly enjoy experimenting with other art forms such as collage, painting on glass, paint pouring, suminagashi, embroidery and more.
Currently I am a virtual educator for The Department of State teaching English as a Second Language to students in the DRC. This has been a pheonmenal experience for me. The world has become my classroom. I would appreciate the opportunity to also share my art with people in other parts of the world.
