Kim Matthews

Kim Matthews deploys "handmade geometry" to craft postminimal sculptures and drawings that range from neutral monochromes to the highly saturated, fluorescent colors of her early childhood. Her interest in seriality and repetition is equally influenced by postminimal artists such as Eva Hesse and a long-term daily meditation practice.

Ms. Matthews is the recipient of a 2010-2011 Jerome Fiber Artists Project Grant, and her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally in numerous private and public venues.
