Mary Kamerer

Mary Kamerer is an award-winning artist oil painter in Charlotte, North Carolina.  She was born in Pittsburgh and attended University of Pittsburgh where she began art and photography classes. After moving to Charlotte, North Carolina, she pursued an English degree but continued creative endeavors in her spare time. Over thirty years, she applied her skills to watercolor, ceramics, stained-glass and completed a year-long apprenticeship in goldsmithing. After graduating with a degree from UNCC and raising a family, she began painting in oils. She now oil paints in an impressionist style in her studio at Dilworth Artisan Station, focusing primarily on light-driven still life and landscapes.

An emphasis on light and shadows can be seen in Mary's impressionistic paintings of  landscapes as well as still lifes in her studio at Dilworth Artisan Station.  Her works have been seen in American Art Collector, Frederickburg Literary Review,Art Guide Artists Directory, Ballantyne Magazine, VoyageATL, SouthPark Magazine and QC Exclusive magazines.
