Mary Griep

Since 1998 I have working on the cross-cultural Anastylosis Project, which consists of drawings of important cultural heritage monuments from around the world. To date the project includes drawings from France, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Austria, Norway, India, Spain, Thailand, Cambodia, Burma, China, and Mexico. All large drawings take from one to two years to complete and are anchored in site visits, artist residencies and research. My focus is on World Heritage sites, with a special emphasis on endangered sites.
