Maureen Andrade

Maureen Andrade is an artist and instructor from Washington State. Her art focuses on natural beauty and inherent, yet subtle, patterns within her subjects. Additionally, she honors images of femininity and family in portraits and figurative compositions.

She graduated from Lewis and Clark College in 1997, where she earned a degree in history. As a student, she lived in London for a semester to study art, music, and theater. Now, she teaches painting occasionally for community nonprofits and at her home, for children and adults.

Currently, Maureen is the Executive Director of North Bank Artists Community Project in Vancouver, WA. This non-profit provides gallery and studio space for the community, as well as educational outreach and a professional development lecture series.

Her children, family, and friends are the source of Maureen’s greatest joy, and she tries to communicate this sense of connection and community in her professional work as well as her artwork.
