Commissions:

* Kanner’s Academy, Sarasota Florida - To paint a large mural in the school’s male dormitory lobby area.

* Maduro and Curiel’s Bank - Completing a landscape portrait of the main office of the bank in Willemstad Curacao.

* Stichting Overheids Accountants Bureau - Government Accounting Agency of the Netherlands Antilles- To Complete a Landscape Painting of their main offices.

* Otrabanda Hotel and Casino - Completed a large landscape Painting, commissioned by the owner of the hotel property and surrounding buildings.

Competition:

* First Prize Award - Best Mural Painter of 1993- Titled, “Saving the Environment” - Life of Jamaica Mural Painting Competition. Was Awarded $10,000 and a trophy by Executive Vice President, Mr. Richard Powell.
The scene illustrated pollutants being dispensed in the waters off Montego Bay with a scene of the surrounding beach resorts.

*Commissioned by Life of Jamaica Insurance Company to do four paintings of different landscape scenes of Jamaican life and customs.

Glendon McFarlane has traveled extensively to different countries around the world participating in many exhibitions. He and Artist Anguine Hodge of Curacao, held one of the most memorable art exhibits at the Curacao Public Library titled, “The Curacao of Yesterday and Today”. It was a very successful exhibition that impressed art collector Mr. Gerard Chin-a-lien who was at that time a Partner in the Accounting Firm Deloitte and Touche. He purchased eleven pieces in that exhibition.

Mr. Mcfarlane is recently involved with the Northern Arts Council in Florissant Missouri, USA in group exhibitions.
