Pam Heller

When people tell stories, remnants of memories surface, often revealing secrets or untold events. Ranging from fact to fantasy, the stories inspire a way of seeing other worlds. Past and present converge in new territory. I am compelled to bring that to life. Pamela is a visual artist generating her work via multiple disciplines; spanning installation, audio, video, and mixed media. Her work draws upon symbolism from a myriad of stories, including myths from ancient cultures, literary sources and folklore. Many of her projects evolve through engagement with communities, exploring identity, memory, time and place. She has created site-specific work for a variety of settings, from public spaces, museums and galleries, to private homes. She aims to connect people to one another and discover a new understanding of our place in time.
