Rachelle LeBlanc

Rachelle LeBlanc is an artist, curator, and activist who explores the shifting paradigms of people and place through narrative figures, landscapes, and sculpture. Influenced by the radical reshaping of the rural landscape she grew up in, she investigates how our lives are affected by our experiences, surroundings, and the connections we form with other people, friends, and family.
She was born in the United States but grew up along the eastern shores of Canada. She studied fashion technology at Sheridan College in Oakville, Ontario, and art at the Glassell School of Art in Houston, Texas.

Her work has been shown in museums and galleries throughout Canada, and the United States, including the Robert Bateman Foundation Gallery (Victoria, BC) and the Art Gallery of Alberta.
(Alberta, Canada), Art Gallery of Winnipeg (Winnipeg, Canada), The Harbourfront Center (Toronto, Canada), the Yeiser Art Center (Paducah, KY), the Art Gallery (UConn Stamford, Connecticut), and the Lawndale Art Center (Houston, Texas).
