Shea Wilkinson, a Nebraska native, earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Nebraska at Omaha in International Studies and German Language.
She has widely exhibited her art quilts, and has won numerous awards for her intricate, thread-based work. In 2021, she shifted from art quilts to felted work, using wool and hand-stitching.
