Tammy Liu-Haller

Tammy was born in 1975, in the Catskill Mountains of upstate NY, where, as a child she spent every moment outside, climbing trees and observing the natural world around her. Because she's always had a love for animals it's no surprise that they take precedence in the majority of her work today. A self-taught artist, working primarily in charcoal and graphite, she prefers to put a contemporary spin on her animal portraits by not including a background. Rather keeping the focus solely on the animal which is rendered in extensive detail. Lending a crisp feel to her drawings. The hope is that this will draw viewers in closer to the animal and perhaps spark an interest in them. To see the beauty she sees and begin to care about their well-being.

For the past 20 years, Tammy has resided in the rural town of Greenville, NY enjoying the farmland, forests and mountain views that surround her home. She is a Signature Member of the American Artists Professional League and an Artist Member of The International Guild of Realism.
