Natalija Vincic

Living in the beautiful south of France, in Provence Alpes Côte d´Azur, once welcoming the greatest modern artists, I live every artist's dream.

Here my art has become more romantic. With the desire to celebrate beauty, love and abundance, I am artistically inspired by the charm of the Belle Epoque.

The works that I am creating now are exhibited on the Côte d'Azur from Monaco to Saint-Tropez. Art has always been my passion. As a child, art was for me a means of escape to dreamland. Fantasy and imagination made me feel empowered and free.

With a mother artist, I had a first experience with brushes, colors, canvases. She loved French expressionism. With my archaeologist father, I knew very early on the love of culture, mythology, symbols. He loved poetry and ancient scriptures.

I studied fine and applied arts and art conservation. After my studies, I worked professionally as an iconographer for many years. Iconography is a spiritual art that depicts inspiring stories and legends with images of saints and events from the Bible. The works of the early Renaissance master Giotto di Bondone inspired my artistic development at that time.

Then I had a new experience, a beautiful creative period in a new direction and a new style, modern art and contemporary symbolism. Working with my sister on the same canvas for several years, we have created several collections and exhibited them in Malmö, London, Saint Petersburg, Skopje, Cannes. Niki de Saint Phalle and Dali were my inspirations during this period.

My magic

I love the idea of painting an object or a color knowing that it represents an idea, an emotion, something that goes beyond the literal meaning. In this way, I express and reveal the invisible reality that is within me. My paintings are symbolic, narrative and semi-abstract. With all my artistic knowledge and experience, I create unique works of art, recognizable by the style and the positive energy they convey.

All of my paintings are constructed with layers of vivid color, creating a texture that reflects the passage from dark to light. I like to mix techniques and mediums, from charcoal and pigments and acrylics, to oil with a brush and a knife. All my paintings are started with Gesso and I finish them with varnish.

My dream

My paintings evoke and uplift the minds of viewers and they bring positive energy to their homes. They give sophistication and uniqueness to the space in which they are found. My works are made to inspire, to recall stories and legends from the past and the future that celebrate love, beauty and abundance.
