Yogamy Ferreras-Farley

YOGAMY FERRERAS-FARLEY, now living in Wood-Ridge, New Jersey, has been drawing and painting since childhood.

She was born in 1978 in Santo Domingo, The Dominican Republic. In 1995, at the age of 17, Yogamy studied Fine Arts at the world-renowned Altos de Chavon, a prestigious art school, an affiliate of Parsons School for Design, in La Romana in her native country. In 1997, she was awarded The Ruth Vanderpool Scholarship to study Illustration at The New School University /Parsons School for Design in New York City.Yogamy’s artwork has been exhibited in several galleries both The United States and The Dominican Republic.

Her works are predominately studies of composition and shape, harmoniously derived from her unique sensibility to create texture with color. Yogamy incorporates a contemporary impressionistic style to create lush backdrops that naturally embrace her subjects.

She holds a BFA Degree in Illustration from Parsons School for Design, New York City, and worked as an Illustrator - currently working on commissions and exhibiting her work.
