Debbie Angell

I worked for several years as a graphic artist, living in Spain, Germany, Hawaii and the Pacific Northwest. While in Europe I traveled often, gaining inspiration from art museums, exhibitions and the many cultural influences. I first began painting and exhibiting my work while living in Europe and found a new passion.
I am drawn to the beauty of surface deterioration – the way nature transforms elements through oxidation, peeling paint and corrosion. I like to alternate between abstract and botanical themes, building my composition slowly through the use of layering texture, and color,
My work is sold in galleries and designer showrooms and can be found in numerous private and corporate collections worldwide.
I currently reside in Western Michigan where I live on a lake and paint from my home studio.
