Mario Moore is a Detroit native, currently residing in New York City. Moore received a BFA in Illustration from the College for Creative Studies in 2009 and an MFA in Painting from the Yale School of Art in 2013.

His phenomenal work has afforded him many opportunities-- from multiple exhibitions (nationally and internationally) and featured articles in newspapers and magazines to working on two Hollywood films as a Sculptor (films, Real Steel and Red Dawn). Moore was co-curator and exhibitor for several shows, including Great American Artist at the Charles H. Wright Museum and Do the Yale Thing at the George N’Namdi Center for Contemporary Art. He has also had several solo exhibits, most recently at Winston-Salem State University.

Moore was the recent recipient of the Artist-in-Residence at Knox College, spring 2015. Moore creates work that has direct correlation to the present, while addressing the historical contextualization of Blacks in an effort to re-analyze social constructs.
