Deborah Lazar

I am an oil painter, photographer and graphic designer living in Vermont. I paint landscape, still life and portraiture. I am a life long artist with a BFA degree in studio art from Windham College. My work has been published in national magazines and I have won many awards. My work has been shown by several New England galleries and is in many private collections across the country.
I believe that a life in the arts is a life time of study. I am a member of the High Street Painters a group of diverse artists dedicated to studying portraiture. I have studied at Village Arts of Putney with accomplished painters who have worked with Richard Schmid. The artists who have shared their wealth of knowledge with me are Casey Baugh, Clayton J. Beck III, Diane K. Rath, Dennis Sheehan, Jack Keledjian and Rosemary Ladd. These artists have passed down the knowledge of their many accomplished teachers and their teachers before them.
Deborah Lazar is available to paint commissions and will work from life or photographs. She shows her work at art fairs,
juried shows and galleries. Her work can be viewed at Vermont Artisan Designs & Gallery 2, Brattleboro, and in her studio (by appointment) or on the web at www.deborahlazar.com.
