M.J. Anderson

M.J. Anderson, primarily a stone sculptor, selects her material from quarries and stone yards of Carrara, Italy. She brings her sculptures to fruition in her studios in Carrara and on the Oregon Coast. In addition to her personal figurative work
for gallery exhibition, M.J. works with designers and architects to place sculpture in private and public spaces as well as public art commissions and liturgical commissions.
Selected Awards and Fellowships include the Pollock-Krasner Foundation, The Northwest Institute of Architecture and Urban Studies in Italy(NIAUSI), the Oregon Arts Commission & The Ford Family Foundation. She has also participated in Sculpture Symposium in Japan and Australia.
