I Try to paint what captivates me about a scene and convey that to the viewer through the use of color, light and texture. I often use a palette knife which helps me create bold strokes while painting wet on wet. My first thoughts when I begin a painting are, "What inspires me about this scene and how do I want others to feel when they look at it?
I'm a native New Yorker who lives and paints in Charleston SC where the influences of timeless beauty, the warmth of the sun and the surrounding lowcountry seaside serve as a never ending source of inspiration
