Claire McConaughy is a painter who lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. She earned her MFA From Columbia University and her BFA from Carnegie-Mellon University. She has had numerous group exhibitions and has received several awards including the Artists Space Independent Project Grant, Ucross Foundation Residency, Santa Fe Art Institute Artist’s Relief Residency, Roswell Artist in Residence Grant, Mid-Atlantic/NEA Regional Visual Arts Fellowship finalist works on paper. She is a Professor of Art at Bergen Community College and is on the faculty of the School of Visual Arts NYC. She has also written about art for publications including Flash Art and was on the editorial board of the non-profit art journal, New Observations.
