Carol Carter

Carol Carter is a watercolorist living and working in St. Louis, MO.
She received her MFA from Washington University, St. Louis. She was awarded a MAA-NEA Fellowship in Painting and Works on Paper in 1994. She was voted Best St. Louis Artist by The Riverfront Times in 2000. The US Embassy sponsored a solo exhibition of her work at the Teatro del Centro de Arte, in Guayaquil, Ecuador in 2003. She was the Artist-in-Residence for the Everglades National Park in 2010 and is doing an exhibition of work based on environmental, landscape, and atmospheric issues based on the region. Her recent solo exhibition: The Italian Suite was shown at the Cedarhurst Center for the Arts, Mt. Vernon IL in 2011. She divides her time between teaching, studio, and travel. She teaches at Maryville University as well as workshops on watercolor internationally. Ms. Carter’s work is represented in many public and private art collections.
