CAROL LUKITSCH

Carol Lukitsch lives and works in the Washington DC metro area. She received an MFA from The University of Maryland, College Park and a BFA from Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville, Summa Cum Laude. She was awarded a Fulbright Grant as a Senior Lecturer in Turkey from 1996 through 1998. Other residencies include The Edna St. Vincent Millay Colony in New York, The Hilai Center in Israel and The Virginia Center for Creative Arts, Sweetbriar. Ms. Lukitsch taught drawing, painting and design at The University of Maryland, College Park; Trinity College, Washington,DC; The Pennsylvania State University, State College, PA; Northern Virginia Community College, Annandale,VA and Haceteppe, Orta Dogu and Bilkent Universities in Turkey. Ms.
Lukitsch was Director of Exhibitions and Curator at The Arlington Arts Center, Arlington, VA from 2004 through 2007. Her
work has been exhibited internationally in twelve countries and throughout the US. Ms. Lukitsch's work is included in collections of The Museum of Contemporary Art, Montecatini, Italy; The State Museum of Painting and Sculpture, Ankara, Turkey; The National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington, DC; Akin,Gump,Straus,Hauer and Feld, Washington, DC; Skadden, Arps,Slate,Meagher and Flom, Washington, DC, The United States Ambassadorial Residences in Panama and Paraguay and numerous other public and private collections.
