Karen Jordan

It would give me great pleasure to share my art in other cultures. Over time, my work has ranged the spectrum from realistic to complete abstraction and some images may appear to cross media perceptions of whether they are painted or photography. Having exhibited in museum and galleries in the US, my work is in important public and private collections nationally.(For a complete listing of recent exhibitions and awards, please see “About” : (https://karenjordan.com/about) I studied photography and digital imaging at the Corcoran College of Art + Design in Washington, DC, hold a B.S. degree from the University of Illinois, and attended Columbia University’s graduate Program in the Arts. Before committing to my passion for photography full-time, I worked at NBC-TV News in New York, was a press secretary to a congressman on Capitol Hill and handled shareholder relations for a major corporation in Washington, DC. I live in Washington, DC, with my husband, Franklin Kelly, an art historian and curator.
